Abstract
We measured the longitudinal and transverse polarization of prompt muons produced at ∼2 GeV/ c transverse momentum by the interaction of 28.5 GeV protons on tungsten. Both components of the polarization were found to be consistent with zero: P L = −0.15 ± 0.18 and P T = 0.05 ± 0.05.
