Abstract

Proton polarization in 12C(d,p0)13C reaction for deuteron energy from 2.34 to 2.74 MeV was measured and compared with earlier data at 3.18 MeV. Distorted Wave Born Approximation (DWBA) calculations show that a reasonable description of the cross-section and polarization data can be obtained for both 12C(d,p0)13C and 12C(d,n0)13N reactions if the depth of the deuteron spin–orbit potential is low. Significant stripping contribution is inferred even at resonance energies.
