Abstract

Abstract The 46 Ti(p, p′γ) reaction has been studied at proton energies of 5.489 and 5.508 MeV. The linear polarization of γ-rays emitted by 46 Ti levels below 3.25 MeV has been measured using the technique involving a single planar Ge(Li) detector. The spin-parity values 2 + , 3 − , 1 − and 2 + have been assigned to the levels at 2.962, 3.059, 3.168 and 3.236 MeV respectively. Gamma-ray branching and mixing ratios have also been obtained.
