Abstract

The article offers information on the compelling story-telling power of Roman poet, Ovid, and the balance of drama and action in his poem "Metamorphoses." It states that the poem has been an inspiration for novelists, sculptors, and composers for centuries. The understanding of Ovid's poetry and influence through the Ovidian critical reception scholarship is cited.
