Abstract
Treatment of intractable neuropathic pain using traditional spinal cord stimulation with cervically-placed leads has been challenging due to the possible occurrence of uncomfortable paresthesia caused by neck motion. While there are multiple SCS studies demonstrating successful treatment of lower extremity pain (e.g., back and leg pain), studies demonstrating successful treatment of upper extremity pain are sparse. We conducted a prospective, multi-center study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Differential Target Multiplexed SCS in subjects diagnosed with chronic upper extremity pain.
