Abstract
Long-term opioid therapy remains a common treatment for patients with chronic pain, despite a lack of supporting evidence.1Given the risk of serious harms associated with long-term opioid use,2 alternative pain relief therapies that can reduce or eliminate opioids are required. The aim of this retrospective review was to evaluate the effect of 10 kHz spinal cord stimulation (SCS) on pain and opioid consumption in patients with chronic neuroaxis and/or extremity pain treated at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital (L+MH), New London, CT.
