Abstract

Recurrence of persistent atrial fibrillation (PsAF) has been attributed to conduction gaps, and non-transmural linear lesion sets. Hybrid thorascopic endo-epicardial AF ablation has been shown to reduce PsAF recurrence when compared to endocardial ablation alone, however with higher complication rates.
