Abstract

This study brings the significant foundations of an ecumenical theology of religions, considering the challenges of the present time, especially the religious and cultural pluralism, in view of the construction of a plural logic for the theological method. It also brings a synthesis of the view of authors who have made relevant contributions to the theme, such as Paul Knitter, Andres Torres Queiruga, Roger Haight and John Hick, in the European and North American (USA) fields, and Jose Maria Vigil, Marcelo Barros, Diego Irarrazaval e Faustino Teixeira, in the Latin-American field.
