Instructional methodology is changing. Technical terms like stimulus-response learning, immediate feedback and behaviorial objectives are finally being associated with the lowest levels of cogntive learning. The new emphasis is on cognition which is based on the processes and structure inherent in learning. In order to meet these requirements we subscribed to the University of Illinois' PLATO System and have not regretted that decision. Over the past three years we have found the system to be inexpensive and reliable and the maintenance and consultation support services to be excellent. The technology of PLATO is advanced far beyond the state of the art of lesson design. Our primary problem is the lack of funding to expand the facilities.
