Abstract

We investigate the propagation of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in the graphene sheet arrays (GSA) consisting of periodically stacking graphene sheets. Thanks to the strong coupling, SPPs experience a linear diffraction relation in the GSAs. The unique feature is helpful in restrain diffraction of SPPs during propagation. By connecting two GSAs with different periods, negative refraction of SPPs in the heterointerface may occur. In addition, we demonstrate accelerated and decelerated beams in aperiodic GSAs, resulting in the beam routing effect.
