Abstract
SummaryPlasma of a turtle, a snake and a bird were assayed for leucine naphthylamid-ase, cystine naphthylamidase and oxytocin-ase. Levels of both naphthylamidases were very high, did not vary with sex or stages of estrous cycles, and migrated in the same electrophoretic fractions. Oxytocinase was absent from the turtle and bird but was present in both male and female snakes.
