Abstract

Aim: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a heritable condition characterized by elevated LDL-C, but this is not always sufficient in determining the risk of occurrence of cardiovascular events.. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association of lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] with the FH phenotype and the role of Lp(a) in determining CV risk among patients with FH.
