Abstract

In this study, plant parasitic nematodes determined in greenhouses of vegetables growing in some provinces of the Southeastern Anatolia Region (Batman, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Siirt and Ažanliurfa) were examined faunistically and taxonomically. Nematode species obtained from soil and root samples were measured and identified by preparing their permanent preparations. The descriptions, synonyms, possible variations, distribution, habitats and literature records of each species are presented in this study. As a result of the study, totally, 18 species belonging to 10 genera of 7 families of superfamilies, Tylenchoidea, Hoplolaimoidea and Anguinoidea of suborder, Tylenchina were determined. This was first recorded since there was no literature record regarding the nematodes in greenhouses of vegetables growing in The Southeastern Anatolia Region. The most common nematode species in this study are Ditylenchus destructor Thorne (54.54%),Pratylenchoides alkani Yuksel (42.42%), Geocenamus brevidens Allen (Siddiqi) (24.24%), Pratylenchus thornei Sher and Allen (21.21%) and Boleodorus thyllactus Thorne (18.0%), respectively.
