Abstract
The organization development (OD) evaluation process considers two key aspects: demonstrating the success of the OD process and offering valuable feedback to organizational members about the OD process. This chapter focuses on the importance of OD evaluation planning and essential tasks that those who participate in organization change should focus on during the planning stage. It provides practical and substantive knowledge and tactics for planning effective OD evaluation. Planning the evaluation is the initial step in OD evaluation, but in reality, it is the first step in the OD process. Many practitioners misunderstand the pivotal role evaluation planning should take in the change process. To achieve successful OD evaluation, including designing an evaluation plan, carrying out the evaluation process, and reporting the results strategically, one of the essential tasks is to involve the right people in this evaluation process.
