Abstract

Problem statement. The article considers planning typology of the Crimean Tatar housing in different regions of Crimea. The main planning decisions that were taken over several hundred years of the Crimean Tatars' residence in Crimea (XVI−XX centuries) are identified, planning features of the Crimean Tatar housing in specific natural and climatic conditions, and geomorphological relief structure are revealed. The factual basis of the study is the materials obtained as a result of field surveys of the historical buildings of Crimea, the study of specialized publications of the period 1880−1939, which are stored in the funds of BIKAMZ (Crimean Historical Museum-Reserve in Bakhchisarai), in the funds of I. Gasprinsky Scientific Library, sources from the funds of the museum of the city of Simferopol, Bakhchisaray and private collections. Systematic studies of the design features of the Crimean Tatar housing were not conducted before. The work of U. Bodaninsky, B.A. is devoted only to certain issues of the typology of the Crimean Tatar housing. Kuftina. These works were carried out at the beginning of the 20th century. The purpose of the article is to determine the layout features of the Crimean Tatar housing. Conclusions. Currently, there are no scientific studies of the main types of the Crimean Tatar housing planning. Residential development, which has developed historically as the most important part of the architectural heritage of Crimea, is gradually disappearing. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the features of the layout of the Crimean Tatar housing in the specific climatic conditions in the southern coastal, mountainous, foothill, steppe regions of Crimea. The development of new recommendations and suggestions on planning typology of the Crimean Tatar housing is important and relevant for the architectural heritage of Crimea.
