Abstract

AbstractAutomated composition of web services can be realized by using planning techniques in AI. This paper introduces an open and flexible framework for service planning and execution. A hybrid algorithm based on Hierarchical Task Network (HTN) planning and partial order planning (POP) is developed to do service planning. A semantic type-matching algorithm is introduced to matching actions of plan to suitable operations of web services. Compared with other service composition methods, this system has high planning efficiency and good executable ability and can satisfy the need of dynamic business process application.KeywordsService CompositionComposite ServiceAtomic ActionHierarchical Task NetworkPlan LibraryThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
