Abstract

The project deals with the planning, analysis and design of a hotel building. The proposed building site is Karadi, Thamarassery. The building is aimed at providing multi-dimensional and comprehensive usage of space near a crowded city highway. The building is a reinforced concrete framed structure consisting of (G+4) floors with adequate facilities and amenities. The functional planning is done using KMBR and IS codes. The structure shall be designed to resist and bear all loads liable to act on it at some point in its life. It also satisfies serviceability requirements, including limitations on deflections and cracking. Drawing is done using AUTOCAD software, and the building is analyzed using STAAD Pro software. It focuses on the multifaceted considerations required to develop a hotel that meets both functional and aesthetic standards while adhering to regulatory and sustainability guidelines. Critical elements discussed include site selection, space allocation, architectural aesthetics, structural integrity, and environmental impact.
