Abstract

Pistil development in flower buds of Cleome iberidellaWelw. ex Oliv., grown in vitro, is strongly stimulated by specific cytokinins, viz. zeatin and BA; kinetin is less active and 2iP ineffective. In the presence of zeatin, low concentrations of NAA stimulate pistil development, whereas higher concentrations are inhibitory.
