Abstract

The pi - pi interaction cross section is estimated by means of the K/ sup +/ decay modes (K/sup +/ - pi /sup +/ + pi /sup 0/ + pi /sup 0/ and K/sup +/ pi /sup +/ + pi /sup -/ + pi /sup +/). At the threshold of the second reaction a cusp is observed in the spectrum of the pi /sup +/ coming from the first reaction. Analysis of this cusp effect yields information as to the pi - pi scattering and/or charge exchange cross sections. (T.F.H.)
