Abstract
1. 1. The presence of carotenoids of a yellowish-green colour in Branchiopoda— Limnadia lenticularis L.—was studied. 2. 2. In extracts separated by means of column and thin-layer chromatography, the following carotenoids were identified: β-carotene, γ-carotene and lutein. 3. 3. It is highly probable that carotenoid-protein complexes and zeaxanthin are present in specimens of Limnadia lenticularis L.
