Abstract

Abstract Measurements of amplitude and phase of the delivered piezoelectric current as a function of frequency and temperature were performed. The studied materials were ferro-piezoelectric ceramics of the PZT family and Calcium Modified Lead Titanates. From these measurements, the behaviour with frequency and temperature of the real and imaginary components of d31 (d′31, d″31) was determined. The experimental results in the very low frequency region (10−2 Hz – 10 Hz) show relaxational and retardational processes with changes in the signs of d′31 for Calcium Modified Lead Titanate (Ca = 24 %) and of d″31 in PTC (24).
