Abstract

Abstract Piezoelectric properties of interconnected porous Pb0.76Ca0.24 Ti0.96 (Co0.5W0.5)0.04O3 ceramics with type 3-3 connectivity prepared by the BURPS process using dextrin spheres have been investigated as a function of porosity and pore size. For porous Pb0.76Ca0.24Ti0.96(Co0.05W0.05) 0.04O3 in the range of 30–50% porosity, the d 33 coefficient, g 33 coefficient and thickness coupling factor (Kt ) increase with the increase of porosity. However, the permittivity of porous Pb0.76Ca0.24Ti0.96(Co0.5W0.5) 0.04O3 was not affected by the variation of pore size, but by the amount of polarization per unit volume.
