Abstract

In this work, we demonstrated the fabrication of uniformly decorated zinc oxide (ZnO) on reduced graphene oxide (ZnO-rGO) nanocomposites using Sesbania bispinosa as photocatalyst for methylene blue dye-degradation. In the synthesis, rationally zinc-acetate and graphene oxide (GO) were added to autoclave and kept for 4 hrs with aforementioned leaves extract, later an optimized product ZnO-rGO was confirmed by using standard spectroscopy techniques. Under UV–visible light, photocatalytic performance of rGO-ZnO NCs achieved the highest dye degradation efficiency towards methylene blue from water. Thus, as an attractive paradigm rGO@ZnO for degradation of hazardous organic dyes from water to make soothing social life.
