Abstract

Nowadays in view to have sustainable development of the world, environment-friendly materials are being developed. This concern for the environment, leads many researchers to find the potential of natural fiber as reinforcement in polymer composites. Environment-friendly, biodegradable composites reduce the possibility of the greenhouse effect. As a result of these an appreciable physical, mechanical effects of natural fiber in polymer composite, this new class of materials have the potential to replace conventional materials used for structural application. The aspects in the experimental studies of the physical and mechanical conduct of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites were highlighted in this review paper. Along with the physical and mechanical entities, tribological properties of these natural fiber-filled polymer composites have been reviewed in this investigation. Various application of these natural fiber reinforced polymer composite due to tailored properties has also been discussed in this paper.
