Abstract

A series of poly(lactic acid-co-glycolic acid)/poly(γ-benzyl L-glutamate)-graft-poly(ethylene glycol) (PLGA/PBLG-graft-PEG) blend films with different PBLG-graft-PEG mole contents were prepared by casting the polymer blend solution in chloroform. Surface morphologies of the PLGA/PBLG-graft-PEG blend films were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Thermal, mechanical, and chemical properties of PLGA/PBLG-graft-PEG blend films were investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), tensile tests, and surface contact angle tests. The results displayed that the introduction of PBLG-graft-PEG could modify the properties of PLGA films.
