Abstract

The results of the bench tests of the diaphragms of diaphragm piston pumps made of composite materials based on twocomponent polyurethane filled with basalt fiber are presented. The tests were carried out using a tensile testing machine equipped with special equipment that allows simulating a complex stress-strain state in the diaphragm which is characteristic of pump operation in the real conditions. According to the results of the tests the diaphragms with a basalt content of 1 and 2 vol. % showed the greatest resistance to mechanical loads.
