Abstract

Kaolinised granites, widely occurring near Darugiri in Garo Hills, Meghalaya were studied with a view to examine their suitability as ceramic raw material. Four samples, collected from four different blocks, were studied in their crude state and after washing. The tests included mineralogical, chemical and physical characteristics. The results indicate that the samples, which are essentially kaolinite in character, are suitable for ceramic industry. © 1979 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
