Abstract

Abstract The main optimization methods for physical properties of thin, ferroactive (ferroelectric, ferroelectric-semiconducting and ferroelectric-ferromagnetic) films are considered on the basis cf thermodynamic theory. The optimization takes place with respect to sizes, chemical and stoichiometric composition technology, pressure and other external disturbances; e.g. different kinds of radiation. The optimal physical properties (thermal, electric, magnetic, optical, electrooptical, etc.) of ferroactive thin films are analyzed. The change of a crystalline structure near the surface of a thin film is taken into account on a higher stage of optimization.
