Abstract

The article deals with the use of phrasal units with the verb “to do" in the Russian language and their study in the Chinese audience. The author briefly touches upon the issue of the definition of the term. Classifications of phrasal units, an overview of Russian phrasal units with the verb to do and their prefix derivatives are discussed in more detail. In the main part of the article the author focuses on teaching the specific meanings of these phrasal units in the aspect of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The article contains exercises that help foreign students to learn and memorize phrasal units better. Finally, the author draws conclusions based on the study of data in the Chinese audience.
