Abstract
The 11B(γ,π-)11C reaction has been investigated theoretically using the impulse approximation and results of the theory of dispersion relations. The numerical results obtained for the total cross section are compared with the known experimental data. It is suggested that the electric dipole transition E0+ dominates the production. An experimental test of this suggestion is proposed.
