Abstract
The energy dependence of the total cross section for the 12C(γ,π−)12N reaction has been studied taking into account the presence of two‐particle‐two‐hole (2P‐2h) correlations in the ground state wave function, in the impulse approximation. The results are in good agreement with the experimental data in the first pion‐nucleon resonance region.
