Abstract

The effect of Fermi motion on the amplitudes for photoproduction of negative pions on neutrons is studied by taking it ab initio together with the Pauli exclusion principle and precise theoretical expressions for the differential cross section, proton polarization, target asymmetry and photon polarization asymmetry are obtained using impulse approximation taking into account the D-state. The errors involved in neglecting these effects at typical kinematical situations are presented numerically.
