Abstract

Photoinduced intramolecular electron transfer in anthraquinone-substituted porphyrin–phthalocyanine heterodimer has been investigated by fluorescence quenching experiments and nanosecond flash photolysis techniques, giving a final charge separated state Zn(ttp)+˙–Zn(pc)–aq–(tpp = tetraphenyl porphyrin; pc = phthalocyanine; aq = anthraquine) dianion by exciting the phthalocyanine moiety.
