Abstract
AbstractSatellites associated with the praseodymium transitions in thc spectra of solid solutions of manganese and zinc double nitrates, Pr2Mn3‐xZnx(NO3)12 · 24 H2O, have been observed, and their behaviour in an axial magnetic field has been investigated photographically at 4.2 °K. These satellites are explained in terms of the crystal field perturbation due to an impurity bivalent ion, and parameters describing this effect are derived.
