Abstract

The photoelectrochemical behaviour of undoped α-Fe 2O 3 electrodes prepared by spray pyrolysis on SnO 2 coated glass substrates has been examined in basic medium. The I–V characteristics and action spectra have been obtained. Flat band potential has been estimated from photoelectrochemical transients under anodic bias. The α -Fe 2O 3 coated on ordinary Corning glass does not show any photoresponse.
