Abstract
Abstract An investigation of the direct and thioxanthone photosensitized photolysis of substituted diaryliodonium salts was carried out. The rate constants for the photolysis processes involved, acidity release, and rates of polymerization of cationic monomers in films have been measured and are discussed. The addition of thioxanthone derivatives as photosensitizes was found to have little effect on the polymerization efficiency.
