Abstract

Abstract A chemical precipitation and hydrothermal method was utilized to synthesize Ag/ZnO/AgO/TiO2 composite. The microstructure and morphology trait of the composite were investigated, and the photocatalytic activity was assessed under UV–vis light irradiation. The results indicated that the Ag, AgO, TiO2 and ZnO were coexisted in the Ag/ZnO/AgO/TiO2 composite, and then each element uniform distributed. The RhB degradation efficiency via the composite got to 99.3% at 100 min. Ag modification and the heterojunction of the composite could be contribute to trap and transfer the electrons, resulting in lengthening a longer lifetime of charges, and strengthened photocatalytic ability the Ag/ZnO/AgO/TiO2 composite.
