Abstract
Decrement of the electron damping of phonons has been calculated in weakly doped metals and degenerate semiconductors. Local and quasilocal electron states in the field of impurity atoms have been taken into account. It is shown that in the frequency dependence of the decrement there appears a maximum caused by transitions between local, quasilocal, and band electron states.
