Abstract

Objective. The objective of the article is to determine the ontological and socio-cultural features of resentment in the conditions of Russian armed aggression. Methods. A systematic method is used to study the main components of resentment; a concrete-historical method is applied when studying various historical and philosophical features of the study of resentment; the method of comparative analysis is used when considering resentment as a phenomenon and studying its Russian features; an economic method is applied for analyzing ways of production and their influence on the material level of Russian citizens; an axiological approach is applied to determine the consequences of moral and ethical issues of resentment; the moral and ethical method is valid when considering both resentment itself and for determining social consequences as a result of the full formation of resentment thinking. The scientific principles of the research are the principle of objectivity (when analyzing the results of the resentment process), determinism (used to study resentment as a phenomenon in general and used to analyze the social consequences of economic policy), systematicity (the general presentation of the material based on the holistic perception of resentment in the system of individual, social, international and cultural norms). Results. The study analyzes the features of the emergence, formation and specifics of the manifestation of resentment as an individual and social phenomenon. An attempt is made to analyze the initial factors of Russian resentment and its results in interaction with the international community. Therefore, modern military and social problems call for the research of resentment, for a deeper and systematic study of this phenomenon, in order to understand the configuration of the enemy of Ukraine, and the specifics of his behavior. The results may have prospects in the understanding of such concepts as the limits of aggression, the means of influencing the consciousness of the people, and the way of solving existing confrontations. In general, the philosophical analysis of resentment as a phenomenon provides an opportunity to realize its belonging and to determine its presence as one of the key features of the mass consciousness of the entire Russian people. The analyzed concepts demonstrate not just the essence of the phenomenon of resentment, but reveal the peculiarities of the formation of the idea of an external enemy for the Russian Federation, the motives of extreme actions and measures through a deep analysis of the formation of the phenomenon of resentment and the processes of its rooting in the minds of people, possible scenarios of the future to which the aggressor is capable of resorting.
