Abstract
The results of study of the occurrence of the phenomenon of narrowing of holes in cylindrical bushings of U8-6MA2 mud pump after high-frequency induction hardening are cited. The study of the occurrence of narrowing of holes helps predict the magnitude of allowance for final grinding operation. The physical aspect of this phenomenon is explained. The obtained results are recommended for use while fabricating bushing type of parts.
