Abstract
Optical phase conjugation using nonlinear optics technology has been employed in developing advanced free electron laser concepts. It was found that improved solutions can be obtained for a number of presently unresolved optical issues in high power free electron laser devices. These concepts and the associated unconventional techniques will be discussed.
