Abstract

Abstract Temperature dependent Raman scattering measurements were performed on a PbZr0.99Ti0.01O3 single crystal in the temperature range from 300 K to 750 K. The modifications of Raman spectra were examined in the vicinity of two structural phase transitions occuring in this crystal: the antiferroelectric (A)—ferroelectric (F) (500 K on heating and 480 K on cooling) and ferroelectric (F)—paraelectric (P) (511 K on heating and 510 K on cooling). In each phase, soft mode behaviour has been found close to the phase transition. On the basis of LST relation the contribution of the soft mode to e'(T) in the P phase was calculated.
