Abstract

We calculate the phase diagram of solid antiferroelectric-ferroelectric solutions like PbZr1-xTixO3 (PZT), Rbx(NH4)1-xH2PO4 (RADP) at x ≤ 0.1. For this purpose we introduce some initial (mean field) antiferroelectric and ferroelectric order parameters (corresponding to the difference and sum of ions shifts of two sublattices) for antiferroelectric host lattice. Small admixture of ferroelectric component was considered as a random electric field source. We account for the influence of this field on both aforementioned order parameters by the self — consistent averaging with (calculated) random field distribution function. This procedure gives the system of equations for order parameters of a mixed system. The antiferroelectric T a (x) and ferroelectric T c (x) phase transition temperatures have been expressed through the transition temperatures of the initial components. Pretty good agreement between calculated T a(x) and T c(x) and those measured in PZT and RADP has been achieved. We also discuss the application of the proposed theoretical approach to other types of mixed systems.
