Abstract
Optical and dielectric properties of [N(C2H5)4]2MeCl2Br2 (Me=Zn,Co) solid solution have been investigated in a wide temperature region. It has been found that gradual substitution of chlorine on bromine in the TEA-MeX4 compounds considerably complicates the phase sequence. Solid solutions TEA-MeCl2Br2 undergo phase transitions at the “intermediate” temperatures in comparison with corresponding pure chloride and bromide crystals. Co-containing compound is characterized by clear-type relaxation which is strongly affected by low temperature phase transition.
