Abstract

BaTiO3 and Ba(Ti,Fe)O3 ceramics have been prepared via solid-state reaction technique. The Rietveld analysis was employed to identify the phase formation, crystallite size and tetragonality of BaTiO3. It was found that the formation of a pure phase of BaTiO3 in the tetragonal structure was completed in BT powders, BTF powders and BTF ceramics sintered at 1400 °C. Purity, crystallite size and tetragonality of BaTiO3 in the tetragonal structure were found to increase with increasing temperature. On the other hand, BTF-1450 and BTF-1500 ceramics were found to form in the single-phase BaTiO3 with hexagonal structure.
