Abstract
Phase equilibria have been investigated in mixtures of persistent macromolecules of two kinds in an athermal solvent. The steric factor influences the compatibility of the polymers both in the isotropic and LC states leading to considerable variety of the phasic states of the system even when forces of attraction between macromolecules are absent.
