Abstract
The MIMO systems proved to be very beneficial in improving efficiency and QoS of wireless systems. However, for complex multimedia applications, massive MIMO is required because of the very small wavelength associated with it. Thus, massive MIMO turns to be a promising technology for 5G applications. However, to achieve higher QoS with a high count of antennas at the base station is complex and computationally expensive for a complete baseband precoder. As a result, hybrid precoders that share the load between the digital (baseband) and analogue (RF) parts are proposed. In this paper, a phase equalised Wiener filter-based precoder is analysed. Simulation results depict that the proposed precoder outperforms the existing low complexity hybrid precoders.
