Abstract

An aqueous dispersion of n-octadecane (n-C18H38) with a dispersed phase particle size of ∼100 nm was prepared by ultrasonic dispersion method without the addition of surfactants. The temperatures of melting, crystallization and transitions to rotator phases were determined by the optical method (light scattering). The effect of surface crystallization was observed experimentally.
