Abstract

(Abstracted from Obstet Gynecol 2023;141:285–298 With a range of both therapeutic and diagnostic indications, hysteroscopy is one of the gynecological procedures most commonly performed. Although both effective and generally safe, this intervention does carry a small risk of fluid overload, fluid absorption, and electrolyte imbalance (which can on rare occurrence be fatal).
