Abstract

Abstract Young seedlings of dendrobiums were naturally infested with false spider mites in 2 inch pots at the Agriculture Experiment Station, Mangilao, Guam. The pots were treated with miticides to runoff using hand-held mist sprayers on 23 Dec '88 and 4 Jan '89. Mite population was determined by counting the number of live adults and nymphs on 2 leaves/plant. There were 4 replicates/treatment. Observations on mite populations were made 2 d prior to first spraying, 3 d after first spraying, 11 d after first spraying, and 2 d after second spraying.
